Properties of Water and Stain-Repellent Fabrics Produced with Nanotechnology
What is Nanotechnological Fabric

Fabrics produced with nanotechnology are called nanotechnological fabrics. These fabrics are waterproof and stain-repellent. The yarn, subjected to a chemical process, gains nanotechnological properties, making it advantageous in many respects. Nanotechnological fabrics are wrinkle-resistant. Therefore, they are frequently used in textile products such as shirts, trousers, skirts, dresses, and suits. In addition, the use of nanotechnological fabrics in home textile products has begun to spread. Nanotechnological fabrics used in upholstery for sofas and couches, duvet covers, and bedspreads make life easier with their stain and dirt-repellent properties.

Properties of Nanotechnological Fabric

Nanotechnological fabrics are stain-repellent. They provide more comfort and ease to the user. They do not wrinkle, so they do not require much ironing. They are resistant to water droplets and are waterproof. While this feature provides an advantage in sofa and couch upholstery, it does not offer the same advantage in fabrics used for shirts. Because it does not absorb body sweat, it is risky. Therefore, a shirt made of nanotechnological fabric should be worn over cotton underwear. It is more suitable for items made of nanotechnological fabric not to come into contact with the skin.
